Sending to an Unregistered SMB Server
Procedure

Perform Step 1 through Step 2 from Sending to a Registered SMB Server.

Press [Input Address].
You can select destinations by pressing the register name from the destination list. For details about selecting a registered destination, refer to Sending to a Registered SMB Server.

Press [Register Name], enter the register name, and press [OK].
For details about entering text, refer to Entering Text.
The register name can be specified using up to 24 single-byte characters (12 double-byte characters).
For [Reference Name], the same name as the register name is entered automatically. If you want to change the name, press [Reference Name] and enter text.

Press [Host Address] to enter the host address, and then press [OK].
For details about entering text, refer to Entering Text.
The host address can be up to 253 single-byte characters long.

Press [File Path], enter the file path and press [OK].
For details about entering text, refer to Entering Text.
The file path can be entered using up to 255 single-byte characters (127 double-byte characters).

Press [Login Name], enter the login name, and press [OK].
For details about entering text, refer to Entering Text.
The login name can be entered using up to 32 single-byte characters (16 double-byte characters).

Press [Password] to enter the password, and then press [OK].
For details about entering text, refer to Entering Text.
Up to 32 single-byte characters can be used for the password.
The password you entered is displayed as "*".

Press [Scan Settings].
The [Scan Settings] screen is displayed.
Press [Register] to register the address you entered.
You can register up to 150 SMB destinations. For details about registering a destination, refer to [Scan Address Register].
