Checking the Network

The following network environment for using an FTP server is required.
  • Connected to a network via TCP/IP, and the system must have an IP address
  • There should be an FTP server that can be connected to on the network, and user accounts set up that can access it
Tips
  • To access the FTP server, an FTP server address and destination file path, along with a working user account name and password for logging in is required. Check these in advance with the network administrator.
  • You can also establish an FTP site within your local area network. For details, refer to Configuring FTP Servers.
  • You cannot connect via FTPS (FTP over SSL).
