What Is Hot Folder of This System?

Using the hot folder in this system allows you to print PDF files and TIFF files directly without starting an application or installing AccurioPro Hot Folder.

You can print a file with the specified job conditions by creating a folder with job conditions specified on the machine HDD and copying the file to the created folder.

Print settings can be registered in advance, so you can save the trouble of print settings.

Multiple users can access the folder created on the machine HDD via the network. If files are copied to the same folder, all of them can be printed with the same job conditions.

NOTICE

• The file formats that can be printed with the machine hot folder are PS, PDF, TIFF, JPEG, PPML, PCL (including Text), and EPS. When the file format is PCL 5e or Text, set the switch No. 107 to [On] in [Software Switch Setting]. For details, refer to Software Memory Switch Setting List.
• If you access the hot folder after setting or changing the setting, an OS error dialog box may be displayed. After setting the hot folder or changing the setting, wait about 10 seconds before accessing it.
• The display may vary depending on your environment or the application version and revision.

Tips

• To use the hot folder function, set [Enhanced Security Mode] to [ON]. For details, refer to [Enhanced Security Mode].
• Up to 1,000 print jobs (files) can be spooled in a hot folder.
• You can back up or restore the user setting information for hot folders. For details, refer to [Hot Folder Backup].
