In order to maintain stable output and quality, it is important to ensure the appropriate management of consumables.
Take note of the points detailed below when managing consumables.
About Storage of Consumables
- Make sure consumables are managed according to the instructions provided on the packaging.
- Store consumables in locations such as those given below.
- Somewhere not exposed to direct sunlight
- Somewhere where the system is not located close to air conditioning units
- Somewhere with a low ambient humidity
- Somewhere with low levels of dust and paper dust
- It is recommended that spare consumables are kept ready for use.
- The remaining quantity of a given consumable such as toner can be checked using the Touch panel. For details, refer to Checking Remaining Toner Levels and Checking Other Remaining Quantities.
- The procedure for replacing consumables can be checked using the Touch panel. Be sure to follow the displayed steps when making the replacements. For details about display methods, refer to Viewing Help Messages.
