Storing Paper
Things to Watch out For
In order to maintain stable output and quality, it is important to ensure appropriate paper management.
Paper is easily affected by moisture in the air and easily deformed by physical impact. Using paper that is not in the required condition can lead to paper jams or poor image quality.
Take note of the points detailed below when storing paper.
About Paper Storage Locations
- The recommended environment is a temperature of 21°C to 26°C, and a humidity of 40% RH to 60% RH.
- Store paper in locations such as those given below.
- Somewhere not exposed to direct sunlight
- Somewhere where the system is not located close to air conditioning units
- Somewhere with a low ambient humidity
- Somewhere stable where the paper can be stored horizontally
- Try to keep the paper stored in its protective wrapping as much as possible.
Once the wrapping has been opened, it is recommended to re-wrap the remaining paper. - It is recommended that spare paper is always kept ready for use.
- The quantity of remaining paper in the paper feed tray can checked using the Touch panel. For details on how to perform these checks, refer to Checking Remaining Paper Quantity.
