Things to Watch out For
In order to maintain stable output and quality, it is important to use paper appropriately.
Take note of the points detailed below during use.
- If the paper storage environment and system installation environment (temperature and humidity) are different
Allow the paper to acclimatize for approximately 2 days by placing it in the system's installation environment while wrapped in its protective wrapping. During this stage, place it on a flat shelf or pallet, and in a location positioned away from the system and any air conditioning units or humidifiers.
Do not use the paper if it still contains wrinkles after being acclimatized for 2 days. - Use recently unsealed paper.
Place the paper on a flat surface, open its protective wrapping, and check that there are no defects or dirt.
Separate out the paper sheets and remove any static build-up before loading the feed tray.

What is Separating Paper?
Separating paper is a process of circulating air between the sheets of paper.
Doing this stops the paper sheets from sticking together and eliminates any build-up of static, preventing paper jams and double feeding during printing.
Be sure to thoroughly separate out the paper when loading the paper into the feed tray.
- Check that there is no paper dust or coating agent on the surface of the paper.
- Do not collect and use sheets of paper that are completely separate.
- Do not use curled paper, or paper that is creased or that has wrinkles. Doing so can result in a paper jam.
- Check that the loaded paper is all of the correct size and type.
- Be sure to enter the correct paper settings to the system, including the type and size of the paper to be used. Use the paper measurement function to do this more efficiently. For details, refer to What Is [Paper Measuring]?.
