Loading Paper Into Large Capacity Unit LU-414/Large Capacity Unit LU-415
Overview
Load paper into the Large Capacity Unit LU-414/Large Capacity Unit LU-415.
When loading paper of different specifications, change the paper setting of the large capacity unit.

Procedure

Open the Tray top door.
The Tray bottom plate goes down.
Proceed to Step 4 when loading paper of the same size.
Proceed to Step 2 when loading the paper of different sizes.
NOTICE
- The tray bottom plate will not descend if the machine is not powered on. Turn the Sub power switch on. For details, refer to Switch on Power Supply of the System.

Open the left door of the tray, turn the Side guide lock knobs (lower) counterclockwise to loosen, and remove it.

Adjust the position of Side guides.
Turn the Side guide lock knobs of the Side guides (upper) (2 locations for each) counterclockwise to loosen.
Move the two Side guides so that they align with the Paper size indicator at the top of the Side guides.

Secure the position of the Side guides.
Turn the Side guide lock knobs of the Side guides (upper) (2 locations for each) clockwise to lock.
Align the front edge of Side guide bottom fixing plate with the Paper size indicator.
Attach the Side guide lock knobs (lower) to the fixing screw holes, and turn them clockwise to lock.
Close the Tray left side door.
NOTICE
- The screw holes that have been used up to now may not be available depending on the position of the Side guides you moved. Use the available screw holes to lock.

Adjust the position of Rear guide plate.
Rotate the Rear guide fixing knobs of the Rear guide plate (2 locations) counterclockwise and loosen them.
Move the Rear guide plate so that it aligns with the size indicators provided on the Tray bottom plate.
Rotate the Rear guide fixing knobs of the Rear guide plate (two locations) clockwise and lock them.

Load the paper with the print side facing up.

Press the Tray bottom plate lowering button.
NOTICE
- It does not work even if you press the Tray bottom plate lowering button if the power supply of the machine is not first turned on. Turn the Sub power switch on. For details, refer to Switch on Power Supply of the System.

Repeat Steps 6 and 7 until the tray no longer lowers.
NOTICE
- Exercise care not to exceed the maximum stack height lines displayed on the Side guides when loading the paper.
- Check that the Rear guide plate is flush against the set paper. If there is a gap between the Rear guide plate and paper or the gap is too narrow, it may lead to paper jams and malfunctions.

Close the Tray top door.
The remaining paper amount indicator changes from "
