Loading Paper Into Large Capacity Unit LU-202m
Overview
Load paper into the Large Capacity Unit LU-202m.
Change the paper settings of large capacity unit when loading paper of different specifications.
If the Paper Feed Unit PF-707m is also equipped, it is recommended to use the Paper Feed Unit PF-707m for feeding the coated paper.
If any failures in the paper feed occur due to the type, size or weight of the paper being used, as shown in the figure below, attaching the provided weights to the pick-up roller may help to improve the paper feed performance. Adjust by changing the number of weights.

Procedure

Open the Top door.
The Tray bottom plate goes down.
Proceed to Step 4 when loading paper of the same size.
Proceed to Step 2 when loading the paper of different sizes.
NOTICE
- The tray bottom plate will not descend if the power supply of the machine is not first turned on. Turn the Sub power switch on. For details, refer to Switch on Power Supply of the System.

Adjust the position of Side guides.
Rotate Side guide knobs of Side guides (4 locations) counterclockwise and loosen them.
Move the two Side guides so that they align with the size indicator on the top of the guide plate.
Rotate the Side guide knobs of Side guides (applicable two locations) clockwise and lock them.

Adjust the position of Rear guide.
Rotate Rear guide knob of Rear guide (2 locations) counterclockwise and loosen them.
Move the Rear guide so that it aligns with the size indicators provided on Tray bottom plate.
Rotate the Rear guide knob of Rear guide (two locations) clockwise and lock them.

Load the paper with the print side facing up.

Press the Tray bottom plate lowering button.
NOTICE
- It will not work even if you press the Tray bottom plate lowering button if the power supply of the machine is not first turned on. Turn the Sub power switch on. For details, refer to Switch on Power Supply of the System.

Repeat Steps 4 and 5 until the tray no longer lowers.
NOTICE
- Exercise care not to exceed the maximum stack height lines displayed on the Side guides when loading the paper.
- Check that the Rear guide is flush against the set paper. Having a gap between Rear guide and paper or having too short a gap can lead to paper jams and malfunctions.

Close the Top door.
The remaining paper amount indicator changes from "
