In this example, as the RIP processing is performed using the CMYK alternative value after searching the spot color table on the controller, printing speed becomes slower than the normal.

Overview

Register the spot color table you want to use on the controller.

Precautions

The spot color table does not function if the spot color names have not been correctly registered.

Procedure

1. Open the data in the application, and check the name of the spot color.

For example, when using Adobe Acrobat, go to [Tools], [Print Production], and then [Output Preview], and then move the mouse cursor over the applicable spot color to check its name.

2. Obtain the desired spot color CMYK values using the [Tone Curve] function in Color Centro.

3. Register the new spot color and its CMYK value using the [Spot Color] function in Color Centro.
