Some Fonts Are in Bold When Printing a PDF

Cause

The text in the areas where the problem occurs have had transparency effects applied.

If processing using the PS Driver and CPSI, those sections with transparency effects applied are processed as image data.

Therefore, the fonts appear as if in bold.

Overview

Printing with APPE allows those sections with transparency effects applied to be printed as text.

Precautions

The APPE option is required.

Procedure

The example procedure below uses Fiery Color Server.

1. After importing the PDF file to Command WorkStation, open [Properties] for the job.

2. Add a check to the [Adobe PDF Print Engine Preferred] check box, and then print.
