Using Import/Export

Overview

The Import/Export function can be used in the circumstances such as those detailed below.

To reduce the time and work required to set up the machine
To configure the same settings on multiple machines
To share data on multiple machines
To store data as backup data, or to analyze data on a computer

Glossary of Terms

The terms below are used in this section.

Term	Explanation
Import	A function for transferring (importing) data from a computer to the system.
Export	A function for transferring (exporting) data from the system to a computer.
Paper profile	Paper settings data such as the size, type, and weight of the paper.
Hold job	Data of jobs held (saved) temporarily on the system.
Device settings	Various system settings data (status notification settings, SSL/TLS settings, automatic logout, printer settings, network settings).
Counter	Cumulative data such as the number of copy or scan operations per user or department.
Authentication information	Data of targeted user and department registrations when authentication settings have been configured on the system.
Prohibited code list	A list of prohibited codes for OpenAPI linked applications not recommended for use on the system.
Scan destination	Destination data used when sending scan data over a network.
AccurioPro Print Manager	An application for performing general management of the printing system. Allows you to easily manage jobs or check the status of the system using a browser on a computer over a network. For details, refer to What Is AccurioPro Print Manager?.
Web Connection	An application that allows you to check the status of the system and configure various settings using the browser on your computer via a network. For details, refer to What Is a Web Connection?.
Web Utilities	A device management utility embedded into the system. Allows you to monitor the status of the system or remotely operate the system’s touch panel using a browser on a computer via a network. For details, refer to What Is Web Utilities?.
