Measure the color hues that can be reproduced by the system for the paper to be used for printing, and calculate the CMYK values required to reproduce the desired colors. Create and define the result as a "printer profile".
To prevent color reproducibility from varying significantly depending on the paper type, we recommend that you create a printer profile for each paper type (colored paper, coated paper, etc.) and use the created printer profiles separately to meet your needs.
The result (hue) varies depending on the printing paper even when the same printing conditions are applied. This is due to the differences in toner fusing, paper whiteness, light reflectance, and other properties according to paper type.
You can prevent variations in color reproducibility by using a printer profile separately for each printing paper type.
This system allows you to create a new profile in addition to the RGB source file. Also, you can obtain a profile from the manufacturer or distribution site.
The recommended timings for creating a printer profile are as follows.
