[Exact Color]
Overview
Carry out calibration using Exact Color.
Adjusting a profile also adjusts the reproduction of not only each single color (CMYK) but also the mixed colors, so adjustment can be performed with higher accuracy than usual.
Tips
- The Image Controller is required to use this function. For details, refer to What Is [Controller]?.
Tips
- Exact Color is set to this system by default. When you need to switch from G7 calibration to this calibration, contact your service representative.

Procedure

Press [+]/[,] of [Number of Print Jobs (Averaging)] to set the number of output charts.

Press [Change] of [Paper Tray Setting].

Select a paper tray, and press [OK].
The selectable items vary depending on the optional devices mounted on this system.

Load paper into the paper tray selected in step 1.
Load paper of A4, A3, 11 e 17, 8.5 e 11, or lengthwise (X) 279.4 mm, widthwise (Y) 210.0 mm / lengthwise (X) 11", widthwise (Y) 8.27" or more in the selected paper tray.

Press [Change] of [Screen Type].
The setting screen is displayed.

Set [Auto Gamma Adjustment].
In general use, select [On].

Press [Execute].
A test chart is output.
The output start dialog box is displayed. When output is completed, the display changes to a completion message.

Press [Close].
The result is displayed.
