Overview

Configure settings for using S/MIME communication.

The Image Controller is required to use this function. For details, refer to What Is Web Connection (Image Controller).

Tips

S/MIME (Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) is one of the email encryption systems. Using S/MIME encrypt emails sent from the Image Controller, preventing them from being tampered by a third party in the sending process. By adding a digital signature to an email, you can ensure the sender and certify that data is not tampered.

Setting items		[S/MIME Comm.Setting]	[ON]	Uses S/MIME communication. To select this item, the administrator's email address specified in the registration of the Image Controller needs match the email address specified at the time the certificate was created.
			[OFF]	Does not use S/MIME communication.
		[Digital Signature]	[Do not add signature]	Does not attach a digital signature to an email.
			[Always add signature]	Attaches a digital signature to an email.
		[Digital Signature Type]	[SHA-1]	Sets the format of the digital signature. Select this item from the menu list.
			[SHA-256]
		[OK]		Applies the setting.
		[Cancel]		Cancels the setting.
