Sets the paper weight. Setting an incorrect weight may cause paper jams or double feeding. | |
Sets the paper color. This function prevents image failures by setting the correct paper color. | |

Adjusts any misalignment of printing positions on the front and back sides in 2-sided printing. | |
The air blow function blows air to the paper loaded in a paper tray and smoothens paper feeding. The air level can be adjusted either automatically or manually. | |

Paper types
Paper type | Description |
---|---|
[Plain] | Copy or print paper referred to as "PPC" paper that is used for copiers and printers, which does not normally use recycled paper. Set when plain paper or recycled paper is used in monochrome copying/printing. |
[Fine] | Non-coated paper generally used for offset printing. This paper type has a high degree of whiteness and is used for a range of purposes. |
[Book/News] | This is mainly used for the body text paper of books. This paper has high opacity to minimize show-through, and is cream-colored so that the characters are easy to read. Show-through: A state in which print can be seen through the paper from the back |
[Plain-rough] | Paper with a scabrous and rough surface and poor toner fixability. Among fine paper, cotton paper is included in the category of rough paper. |
[Blank Insert] | Paper that is only passed through this system without being printed on. Select this item when you want to insert printed paper that will not be printed by this system, or insert blank paper using the Insert Sheet function. |
