What Is the Post inserter?

The Post inserter is one of the optional devices that is used in this system.

The Post inserter, which is mounted on the finisher, allows you to perform post-processing (Corner Staple, 2 Position Staple, Fold & Staple, Fold, or Punch) for printed sheets.

Even if post-processing is required after printing, you do not need to perform reprinting.

On the Post inserter control panel of PostInserter PI-502 or FoldingUnit FD-503, the following post-processing can be performed depending on the combination with the optional device mounted in the finisher.

Tips

• The Double Feed Detection function of FoldingUnit FD-503 automatically stops the machine when double paper feeding occurs. Post inserter is set so that this function works. For some paper types, double feeding may be detected even if it does not actually occur, and the machine may stop. If such a phenomenon occurs frequently, press Multi-feed detection key to light up the Double Feed Detection OFF indicator LED.
