Q. What Paper Types Are Available in This System? Is Label Paper Available?
A. The following paper types are available in this system: Plain, Fine, Book/News, Plain-rough, and Blank Insert.
However, some paper types are not suitable for printing on this system. For details about the paper types available on this system, contact your service representative.
NOTICE
- Special paper such as label paper or paper with an adhesive surface may cause a failure because the adhesive surface may adhere to various parts inside the machine during paper feeding. When using this function, be sure to contact your service representative in advance.
Q. How Many Sheets Can I Load Into a Paper Tray?
A. The maximum number of loadable sheets varies depending on the target paper tray or paper type.

Q. Is There a Method to Print a Print Job You Do Not Want Other People to See?
A. Yes, there is.
[Secure Print] is useful to print job a highly confidential job. For details, refer to [Output Method].
Q. Can I Overprint a Watermark and an Image?
A. Yes, you can.
In the PS Plug-in Driver, use [Form].
For details about [Form] in PS Plug-in Driver, refer to What is [Forms]?.
In the PPD Driver, use [Copy Protect].
For details about [Copy Protect] in PPD Driver, refer to [Advanced Document Settings].
Q. Can I Save the Printed Data in the HDD?
A. Yes, you can. A job printed from a printer driver, etc. can be saved on the HDD.
To save data using PS Plug-in Driver
- Configure the setting in [Output Method] on the [Workflow] screen. When one of the following is selected, the target job is stored in the HDD.
- [Print/Hold]
- [Hold]
- [Hold (Without RIP)]
- [Print/Store on HDD]
- [Store on HDD]

To save data using PPD Driver
- Configure the setting in [Print Mode] on the [Advanced Document Settings] screen. When one of the following is selected, the target job is stored in the HDD.

Q. Can I Check the Printer Font?
A. Yes, you can.
To confirm the installed fonts, print the font list.
For PS Plug-in Driver, refer to [PS Font List].
For PCL Driver, refer to [PCL Font List].
Q. Can I Print the Original Upside Down?
A. Yes, you can.
To use PS Plug-in Driver for printing:
- Configure the setting on the [Layout] screen. For details, refer to [180°Rotate].
To use PPD Driver for printing:
- Configure the setting in [180°Rotate]. For details, refer to [Advanced Document Settings].
Q. Can I Combine Multiple Jobs Into a Single Job for Printing?
A. Yes, you can.
You can combine hold jobs and print them as a single job. For details, refer to [Combine].
Q. If the Setting of the Combination Source Job Is Changed After Jobs Were Combined, Is the Changed Setting Applied to the Combined Job?
A. The setting is not applied to the combined job.
The combined jobs are stored as a new hold job.
Q. When Will Hold Jobs Not Be Received?
A. When the number of hold jobs reaches the maximum, the next hold job is not received. Delete unnecessary hold jobs, and then store a job again.
For information about the upper limit of hold jobs, refer to What Is the [Hold Job]?.
Tips
- You can configure the setting so that when the number of hold jobs reaches the maximum, the next hold job is received and the oldest job is automatically deleted. Contact your service representative.
- Even if the number of hold jobs does not reach the maximum, the next hold job may not be received depending on the remaining HDD capacity. In this case, delete unnecessary jobs, and store the job again.
