[Security Warning Display]
Overview
Configure the setting to display a warning that prompts the user to enhance the administrator password setting.
This function prevents malicious users from correctly guessing the default administrator password and accessing this system as the administrator.
When the system conditions are as follows, the Security Warning screen can be displayed.
- [Administrator Password] remains set to the default.
- A violation of the rules occurred in the [Password Rules Setting].
- The administrator authentication function is set to OFF.
NOTICE
- You can set the administrator password by pressing [Set Now] in the security warning display.
- If you do not set the administrator password, general users may change some settings of [Quick Security Setting]. To use this system safely, the administrator should set the administrator password at an early stage.
Tips
A security warning is displayed when
- the system is turned on;
- the system is recovered from the Power Save mode; or
- the system is waiting for a password to be entered outside the time range specified for the Weekly Timer.
