Print Workflow

A. The following paper types are available in this system: Plain, Coated (glossy and matte), Fine, Color Specific, Envelope, and Textured.

However, some paper types are not suitable for printing on this system. For details about the paper types available on this system, contact your service representative.

NOTICE

• Special paper such as label paper or paper with an adhesive surface may cause a failure because the adhesive surface may adhere to various parts inside the machine during paper feeding. When using paper with an adhesive surface such as label paper, be sure to contact your service representative in advance.

A. The maximum number of loadable sheets varies depending on the target paper tray or paper type.

[Secure Print] is useful to print job a highly confidential job. For details, refer to [Output Method].

In the [JOB LIST], use [Overlay] in [Job Ticket Edit].

A. You can save the copied or scanned data. Only the jobs scanned on this system can be saved in the HDD of the machine.

A job printed from a printer driver, etc. can be saved in the HDD of Image Controller.

To confirm the installed fonts, print the font list.

A. Yes, you can.

You can create and combine any subfolder directly under [pdfvt] of the SMB shared folder.

• A setting is required to perform PDF/VT-2 printing. For details, refer to What Is PDF/VT-2 Variable Printing?.

To use PPD Driver for printing:

You can perform cutting for finishing. For details, refer to Before Card Cutting or "Trim Printing" in [Print Workflow].

Tips

• Cutting requires Trimmer Unit TU-510.

* When the image position of (1) is misaligned, the trimmed part is misaligned even if the trim position of (2) is correct.

A. Yes, you can.

You can combine hold jobs and print them as a single job. For details, refer to [Combine].

A. The setting is not applied to the combined job.

The combined jobs are stored as a new hold job.

A. When the number of hold jobs reaches the maximum, the next hold job is not received. Delete unnecessary hold jobs, and then store a job again.

For information about the upper limit of hold jobs, refer to What Is the [Hold Job]?.

Tips

• You can configure the setting so that when the number of hold jobs reaches the maximum, the next hold job is received and the oldest job is automatically deleted. Contact your service representative.
• Even if the number of hold jobs does not reach the maximum, the next hold job may not be received depending on the remaining HDD capacity. In this case, delete unnecessary jobs, and store the job again.
