Auto Paper detects the original size and automatically selects and feeds copy paper of the same size (x1.0 magnification mode), or selects an appropriate size according to the magnification ratio selected (Zoom mode).
The original sizes to be detected from the ADF or original glass are previously determined. For details, refer to Positioning the Original in ADF and Positioning the Original on Original Glass.
The original sizes to be detected from the original glass can be changed. For details, refer to Detect Orig. Size on Glass: Setting the Original Size Detection for When Original Glass is Used.
An administrator can set a tray to be incompatible with [Auto Paper] or paper conditions to be incompatible with [Auto Paper]. For details, refer to Auto Tray Selection Setting: Setting the Automatic Paper Tray Switching and Automatic Paper Selection: Setting the Paper Conditions for Automatic Paper Tray Switching.
The machine can be set to deactivate [Auto Paper] when the original is loaded in the ADF or on the original glass. For details, refer to Copy Setting: Setting the Various Operations When Copying.
[Auto Paper] is incompatible with [Auto Zoom], while Image Rotation is available.
[Auto Paper] does not select the tray of the size specified as [Custom].
Press Reset on the control panel. Close the ADF securely, and then press Reset.
In the default setting, [Auto Paper] is automatically selected.
Position the original.
The tray loaded with an appropriate paper size is selected automatically.
A message prompts you that an appropriate size cannot be found in any tray. In this case, load paper of the size referred in the message.
[Auto Paper] may not function for the tray due to the paper specifications registered for that tray, even with the selected size loaded. For details, refer to Automatic Paper Selection: Setting the Paper Conditions for Automatic Paper Tray Switching.
