If a staple paper set is misaligned, adjust the alignment width of the stapled paper set using the staple bunch adjustment plate (stapled paper width).
As an example, this section explains how to reduce the staple paper width by 1 mm.

When there is misalignment in the stacked paper to staple, this function allows you to adjust the alignment width of the stapled paper set by specifying the desired value.
Negative values increase the width.
Positive values reduce the width.

Print the original and check the current misalignment 'a' in the paper stack using a ruler.
Check for misalignment ('a' below) in the paper stack. If the set paper width is greater than the actual paper width, a misalignment occurs.
On the touch panel of the main body, press [Adjustment] on the [MACHINE] screen.
Press [Finisher Adjustment] on the [Adjustment Menu] screen.
Press [Staple Finisher Adjustment] on the [Finisher Adjustment] menu.
Press [Staple Finisher (Main) Adj.] on the [Staple Finisher Adjustment] menu.
Press [Staple Paper Width Adj.] on the [Staple Finisher (Main) Adj.] menu.
Press the paper size to adjust. Enter the adjustment value and press [Set].
Example: Make the staple paper width for [Offset for All Size] (all paper sizes) narrower by 1 mm.

Press the keypad on the screen to set the value.
Use [+/-] to specify the value to be positive or negative.
The values are in 0.1 mm increments. (1 = 0.1 mm)
With a specific paper size selected, the set value becomes the sum of the entered value and the value previously specified for [Offset for All Size].
Pressing [Print Mode] switches the mode to print mode, which allows you to print the original.
Print the original again and check the staple paper width for misalignment.
Repeat the above steps as necessary.
